Can you believe that it’s already August? Summer is coming to end and yet it feels like summer never really arrived to begin with this year.
Keeping it super simple today with this Caramelized Banana Honey Greek Yogurt.
I have to confess that I’m really terrible at eating breakfast in the mornings. Even on my day off.
I’ve always been obsessed with breakfast and brunch. There’s something so relaxing about it. Maybe it’s because whenever I’m brunching, it’s on my day off and I’m catching up with a friend I haven’t seen in awhile.
But on a typical morning? I don’t usually have time for breakfast. Or I skip it. It’s a bad habit that I need to learn to break. And this caramelized banana honey Greek yogurt might just be what we need to start new habits.
Bananas caramelized in brown sugar. Greek yogurt with swirls on honey. Super simple, super delicious, and super the kind of breakfast that’s perfect for a hot summer morning.
In a small skillet, add butter over low to medium heat. Once the butter has melted, carefully add granulated sugar. Cook until the sugar has melted.
Add sliced bananas to the skillet and cook until the bananas have started to brown. Remove the bananas from heat and set aside for now.
In a medium bowl, drizzle honey over the Greek yogurt. Top the Greek yogurt with the caramelized bananas, fresh fruits, granola, and chia seeds.
Serve the caramelized banana honey Greek yogurt bowl cold.
