Chocolate Covered S’mores

Chocolate covered s’mores on a stick are the perfect summer treat for the 4th of July, or any afternoon with friends!
Chocolate covered s'mores on a stick are the perfect summer treat for an afternoon with friends! A traditional s'more, dipped in chocolate, is always a crowd pleaser. | Ask Anna
I saw this fabulous idea years ago and I thought they would be so much fun for our 4th of July BBQ, but now that I’ve made them I will definitely be making them for lots of other summer outings.
Here’s what you’ll need:
  • Graham crackers
  • Marshmallows (preferably the flat ones)
  • Chocolate squares for the s’mores
  • Chocolate chips for melting and dipping
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Sprinkles (optional)
Start by making the s’mores: stack graham cracker, chocolate square, 1 marshmallow and top with another graham cracker.

Melt them in the microwave for about 25 seconds, or until you see the chocolate start to melt and the marshmallow start to puff.

Place them on a wax paper lined cookie sheet and stick them in the freezer for about 10 minutes.

After they have hardened a little remove them from the freezer and insert a popsicle stick.

For the kids I melted just marshmallows and then put a stick in them.

Then place the s’mores in the freezer for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate and marshmallow have hardened again. While you are waiting for them to freeze melt the remainder of the chocolate in a large bowl for dipping.

Take the s’mores out of the freezer and dip each one in the the melted chocolate, then place it back on the wax paper lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sprinkles, if desired.

Next place them in the freezer for the chocolate to harden. I took mine out of the freezer, and put them in the fridge, a few hours before serving so they weren’t so hard, but you can serve them right out of the freezer, if you’d like.

The kids loved the chocolate covered marshmallows!
And the adults loved the chocolate covered s’mores!  I received so many compliments on them.  They are definitely a new summer favorite!!!
