Blueberry Infused Vodka Lemonade

I found this delicious recipe for blueberry infused vodka lemonade via Pinterest and I knew I had to make it!  A few weeks ago we had a girl’s night and I thought this was the perfect cocktail for our summer girl’s night!

Here’s the recipe if you want to make a lot of blueberry infused vodka {if you only want to make 2 servings see the original post).

Ingredients

Large bottle of Vodka {I got mine at Costco}
1 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 can frozen lemonade
Sliced lemons {garnish}

Directions

* Poor the fresh blueberries into anything you have that will fit your vodka.  I purchased the 1.75L size at Costco so I made mine in one of the glass canisters from my pantry.

* Poor the vodka into the jar/canister, then use a fork to smoosh up the blueberries at the bottom.  The vodka will be cloudy but that’s good!

* Place the vodka in the refrigerator and let it infuse for at least 24 hours {the longer the better}.

* Meanwhile mix up the can of frozen lemonade, as per the directions.

* At the end of 24+ hours use a sieve to strain the vodka from the blueberries.  Make sure to save the vodka infused blueberries to use them as a garnish!

* In a separate bowl mix the frozen blueberries with the teaspoon of sugar.  Mix well then place a scoop of the sugared blueberries at the bottom of each of your serving glasses.

* Fill the serving glasses with ice and add the vodka and lemonade, 1 part vodka to 2 parts lemonade.

* Garnish with the lemon slices, vodka blueberries and serve!

Your guests will love these cocktails, they are beautiful and they taste fabulous!  And you want to know a secret?  You can do this with any type of fruit!  How delicious would strawberry infused vodka lemonade be, or blackberry???  Oh the possibilities!  Enjoy!
