It’s that time of year (again), when we decide to make our New Year’s resolutions. Most of us just make a few simple changes to our everyday living. The way we take care of our bodies, inside and out. One way we do that is by trying to eat a healthier and more balanced diet. Bring on the greens!
My favorite way to start my day with those fruit and veggies…smoothies! I received a Blendtec for Christmas last year and use it everyday. It can magically blend just about anything. Love it! I make smoothies pretty regularly and today I’m sharing a few of our favorite dairy free smoothie recipes. All of these recipes are gluten and dairy free, most of them are refined sugar free too.
Mocha Breakfast Smoothie
Did you know you can get your cup of coffee in your breakfast smoothie? It’s true and it’s totally delicious. Chilled coffee is blended with So Delicious chocolate coconut milk, banana, oats, chia seeds and a touch of honey. This breakfast smoothie works well made the night before so it’s ready to enjoy in the morning.
Cranberry Smoothie
Do you have a bag of frozen cranberries in your freezer, leftover from the holidays? Here is a tart and tangy smoothie that features those power-house berries! A combination of orange and cranberry (one of my favorites) makes for a bright and cheerful start to your day or maybe even an afternoon pick-me-up.
Vega One Green Smoothie
I LOVE Vega One protein powder. It’s my favorite. Plant-based, gluten free and dairy free. It is a great addition to any smoothie, adding needed protein to our diets. If you are new to green smoothies, give this one a try!
Berrilicious Smoothie
This is my kids favorite “special drink”! They go crazy for berry smoothies. If it doesn’t have berries in it, it’s technically not a smoothie. I always sneak in fresh spinach leaves and usually some chia seeds too. Smoothies are a great way to get those healthy ingredients into those little bodies!
Strawberry Beet Protein Smoothie
Don’t be scared. I know you just read “beet” in the title of this smoothie. I promise their flavor is not overpowering and those beets add tons of essential vitamins. I also add a scoop of vanilla protein powder and yummy strawberries. It’s a dairy free smoothie that sure to please!
What are some of your favorite dairy free smoothie recipes? We love smoothies and are always looking for new, fun recipes to try!
