Delicious and Easy Berry Crumble

Delicious and simple berry crumble that’s easy to make and guaranteed to please every crowd.

Delicious and simple berry crumble that's easy to make and guaranteed to please every crowd. | Ask Anna

Today I’m sharing the my recipe for famous quick and easy berry crumble, it’s one of our family’s favorite summer desserts!  Having grown up with a diabetic in the family, my husband isn’t much for sweets but he loves anything with berries in it!

Start by heating the oven to 375 degrees.

For the Topping

  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup soft butter

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.  Set aside.

For the filling

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 bag frozen mixed berries

The beauty of this recipe is that you can use any type of berries you want!  I like to use the bags of mixed berries (usually the frozen blend of blackberries, raspberries and blueberries) because it’s convenient and delicious, but you could also use peaches, apples, etc!

Defrost berries in a glass bowl, in the microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes, then add the sugar and the cornstarch. Mix well.

Place the berries in an ungreased baking dish and add the crumble to the top.

Bake the crumble, uncovered, for 30 minutes, or until the topping turns golden brown.  Serve warm with or without ice cream, either way it’s delicious!!!

I promise this will be a favorite among friends and family!  Every time I make it this berry crumble the dish is emptied within minutes! It’s a guaranteed hit!

This is also one of my favorite recipes to make when we have friends over because I always have the ingredients on hand and it can be prepped before hand, then baked while you and your guests eat dinner! That’s a win-win as a hostess! 🙂

Enjoy!
