Spring is quickly arriving, well at least for those of us out here in California, and as soon as the days start getting longer my husband and I are drawn to our deck. It’s one of our favorite things to sit out on the deck, enjoy a drink and have a good conversation, away from the distraction of the TV. In our other house I redid our patio and made it a fun place to sit and relax but since we moved into this house I just tossed everything out on the deck and I haven’t given it a second… Read More
How to get Stains out of Carpet (old, new & pet stains!)
We recently rearranged our bedroom and when we did I noticed a couple stains on the carpet. I have no idea how long they’d been there and where they even came from (gross!). They’re like matching little stains right smack in the middle of the floor! I added the arrows because I learned that it’s really hard to take pictures of brown stains on tan carpet but in real life they are very noticeable. 🙂 Since I didn’t know what the stains were from I wanted to use a product that would keep them from coming back. I recently discovered… Read More

When my husband and I sat down to make our project list for this year, a deck expansion was at the top of the list. Currently the deck on the side of the pool is about 5 feet wide which is not even close to enough space to have chairs, a table AND people, especially with a bunch of kids running around! See… Read More
Declutter Your Home Printable Checklist
Hey everyone, Krista again. I know there are a lot of people snowed in still, but it has been pretty warm out here in the western desert. My irises are even starting to poke their little green leaves toward all that sunshine. Having spent the last few months mostly inside with my kids and everything we own has me ready to get rid of some things. Ok, a lot of things. I wish I could just get rid of it all and start over. But, since that’s not actually an option, I’ll stick with decluttering. With the influx of stuff… Read More
