We’ve had a lot going on upstairs, with our bedroom/bathroom remodel but at the same time we’ve been working on installing the new Envique floors downstairs. We didn’t really plan on it all happening at once but we have house guests coming and we wanted to get the downstairs finished so they would have a place to stay. I’m so excited to show you the installation progress because the Envique Gable Oak flooring we picked out is sooo pretty, and it’s a HUGE improvement from what we had.
It’s also incredibly easy to install! Our weekends have been busy with upstairs projects so my husband has been installing the Envique floors in the evenings, when he gets home from work.
It’s a big room but the progress is moving along quickly because the patented Uniclic locking system makes installation quick and easy. It also gives added protection to help prevent water damage and warping, which is one of the main reasons I chose these floors over traditional laminate flooring. Even the man who installed the carpet in our bedroom renovation commented when he saw the Gable Oak boxes in the garage, and said that this was the easiest flooring to install!
You can see from the GIF image that installation is as easy as lining up the locking system, fitting the locking system into place, then tapping the planks into place with the tapping block. The process is going quickly, but it’s a really large space so we aren’t quite done yet.
But it’s so pretty and even though we aren’t finished the room looks so much bigger and brighter! I love that the floors look like real wood too, I honestly think that once we finish installation, no one will be able to tell that it’s not real wood.
We have about 1/4 of the room left to finish and then we have to install the baseboards! It will probably be a couple weeks until we’re done but I can’t wait to show you the finished product!!!

Hi love your post, I’m thinking of putting this flooring in my house but haven’t seen it in person yet, how would you describe the color? It’s hard to tell from the pictures if it’s gray or brown.
Anna says
It’s more gray than brown. I love the floors, they are really pretty! They can be a little echo-y so you’ll definitely want to invest in some area rugs. I would totally install them again though they are really beautiful, especially for the price!
