Hi! I am Lauren from Mom Home Guide. My husband and I are BIG coffee and tea drinkers — for me, a hot cup of English Breakfast tea with a little milk and sugar is heavenly. My husband and I used to store our Keurig coffee maker on our kitchen counter, but it took up way too much space! So, I bought a stylish glossy black rolling kitchen cart online (for just under $145) and converted it into a really useful kitchen coffee cart! I adore how the cart makes my otherwise simple kitchen a lot more glamorous!
The cart came in handy earlier this month when I hosted a bridal shower for my sister at my house. My sister’s sister-in-law to-be set up a really great coffee bar outside on the patio, but the folks who wanted decaf coffee or tea were able to step in my kitchen and brew themselves a custom cup of tea or coffee. I was so glad that I had my new kitchen coffee station set up!
To create my kitchen’s new coffee and tea station, I centered our Keurig K Cup brewer on top of my new rolling kitchen cart. I added glass and ceramic canisters to store our various teas and coffee, and a small canister of sugar. (I try to not put sugar in my tea, but I still do sometimes as a special treat.) I placed a plastic cutting board underneath the coffee maker. (The coffee maker can get hot and I’d like to protect the coffee cart’s surface.)
I love that the rolling kitchen cart has open shelving for coffee and tea mugs — my husband and I have way to many! I also store a cute crystal creamer and sugar bowl set that I have on those shelves. My daughter feels like a “princess” when I serve her tea with that set!
The rolling kitchen cart has a really handy deep drawer that can store all of my spices — including my big containers of oregano and crushed hot pepper! I never had a single spot to store all my spices before. A closed cabinet on the cart is a great space to store my rice maker and a slow cooker.
My husband and I love our new kitchen coffee station — the station helps streamline our mornings by making it easy and quick to make a hot cup of coffee or tea!
