Hi, Susan here from Organized 31. We’re well into the school year and recently I noticed that my junk drawer was overflowing with our collection of Box Tops and Labels for Education. I’ve found these 5 tips helpful in organizing and managing our Box Tops and Labels as we collect them for our school.
Our family faithfully collects both Box Tops for Education and Labels for Education. We turn them into our school as part of our school’s fund raising effort. Schools are able to earn up to $20,000 in cash and thousands of dollars in educational merchandise just by collecting the Box Tops and Labels from products you’ve purchased.
Now that I know how much those Box Tops and Labels can help our school, I can’t throw them away. Keeping them has become a compulsion, but I want to keep them better organized. These are the tips for organizing Box Tops and Labels that I’ve found work best for me.
Tips for organizing Box Tops and Labels for Education
1. Include all your family members. Show your family members what the Box Tops and Labels for Education look like and where they’re usually found on products. Explain why it’s important to look for and save the coupons.
2. Clip the coupons from the product label and trim them closely to the outline, but be sure that the expiration date is intact. Your school has to mail the Box Tops and Labels in to receive compensation. The more neatly trimmed the labels are the easier it will be for your school to catalog and submit them.
3. Designate a spot to collect the Box Tops and Labels. Create one location in a box or envelope to neatly collect all of them.
4. Separate the Box Tops from the Labels for Education when you put them in your collection spot. Most schools want you to turn them in separately, so it’s easier to separate them from the beginning.
5. Turn the Box Tops and Labels for Education in monthly to keep them from piling up. Turning your Box Tops and Labels in promptly helps prevent them from expiring before your school can redeem them.
If you don’t already, I encourage you to look for the Box Tops and Labels for Education that you can find on many products that you purchase. Throwing those Box Tops and Labels away are like throwing away money that can help our schools.
