How to Organize Kitchen Knives

I’m not a fan of having a knife block on the counter so I’ve always stored my knifes in a drawer on all the wall. At our old house we had a magnetic knife strip on the wall and I loved it! However in our new house we have this awful extra tall backsplash which doesn’t allow for a magnetic knife strip.

So when we moved in I resorted to putting my knives in a drawer but it always drives me crazy that they move around and don’t look organized all the time. But today I’m going to show you how to organize kitchen knives, if you don’t want them on the counter, with this awesome In-drawer Knife Block I found on Zulily!

 

Here’s what my knives looked like before the knife block.

 

They look organized, and they are, but when we open and close the drawer the knives shift and aren’t always perfectly lined up, like I want them to be. I am constantly putting them back in place because I’m a little OCD like that.

I love how organized and easily accessible my knifes are now. And the best part is that they won’t move around all the time. Now I also have time to move the can openers next to the knife block so they aren’t hiding in the back of the drawer. 🙂
