Summer is just around the corner. You (or your kiddos) might even be out of school already. We have another two weeks… ugh. I am ready for the school year to end and the days to be a little less rigorous. I am ready for summer and I know my kids are too.
We have some big plans for this summer, okay, “big plans” may not be the correct terminology, our plans really aren’t all that big, but we do plan to have some serious fun. We’ll be using a summer bucket list to help us make sure we don’t miss out on fun that we really want to have.
Do you have pretty awesome summer plans? Are there things you want to do this summer? Write it all down! Summer always seems to get away from me, my to-do list is always longer than the days and there are always things that don’t get done, but I don’t want to be the “not now” mom or the “maybe later” mom. I want my boys to remember summer as more than mommy’s to-do list, so this list will help remind my kids that, after the work, there’s fun. And it will remind me that there is fun, and not just work!
I put ours in a picture frame and we wrote down the things we want to do. I just used a wet erase marker and wrote on the glass. This will go in our school room I’m slowly putting together and, hopefully, will motivate my kids to get the work done so we can play and have fun! The fun will be right there in our faces, reminding us to enjoy each other and the short eight weeks we have together.
Want your own summer bucket list? Snag your copy of the summer bucket list and get your fun plans in your faces so that you don’t get caught up in your long to-do lists. It’s formatted to 8×10″ so it will fit in a picture frame if you want, otherwise, there will just be a little border around the image.
