Remember WAY back in January when I started my office makeover by redoing the built-ins?
And then back in March when I showed you the bling I’d added to the office?
Well now that it’s almost JUNE, I’m finally ready to show you my whole office reveal! To be honest I’ve been almost done for months but I had one last project lurking over my head and I finally finished it last week while Matt was out of town. Months ago I saw this beautiful chalkboard on Pinterest and wanted to make one for my office. I’ll share the tutorial later because now that it’s finally done I just want to show you the whole office!
Before we look at the after, let’s take a look at the before.
The room was so yellow and green, it just felt dingy! The only way I can really show you the difference is to show you this picture from part way through painting.
Up against the white you can see just how green it really was! Gross! It’s so much brighter and more welcoming now that it’s white! Are you ready for the “after” pictures? Here you go – WARNING – lots of pictures below!!!
I seriously LOVE how bright and refreshing it is now! I used to hate working in here because I felt like it’s where inspiration went to die, but now I love it.
Isn’t this clock fabulous! I love clocks and when I saw this one I had to have it!
Every part of the room is pretty and fosters inspiration, especially my new chalkboard, it’s probably my new favorite thing in the house. 🙂
And then of course, my desk. My new office chair is really special to me because I bought it from my friend’s husband when she passed away. She was an incredible person and every time I sit in it I’m reminded of just how precious life is and how little time we all have. I want to make each day count.
I love this little nook. The ottoman is where I keep all of Malea’s craft stuff hidden organized but it’s also a perfect little reading spot.
I’m also thankful every day, all over again, for my bookshelf makeover. They are so much prettier these days!
Well, that’s a wrap. What do you think of my new office space? What’s your favorite, the huge clock, my DIY chalkboard, the reading nook?
They are all my favorites and I’m so thankful for such a great office space! My last office makeover was more of a craft room but this office is where I’m at now (embracing the fact that I’m not crafty) and I love it.
Here’s another look at the before and after.
