How to Organize Water Bottles (and keep them from falling over!)

Welcome to day #7 of 15 Ways to Organize for less than $15! Today I’m going to show you how to organize water bottles so they aren’t falling down all the time, don’t you just hate that!?

15 Ways to get organized for under $15

I mentioned this tip in a post a couple years ago but since we are in our new house, and have somehow acquired more water bottles, I thought I’d revisit the topic! Plus it’s perfect for this series because it barely cost me anything to organize all of our water bottles.

First you’ll need some baskets. I got 2 of these at the Dollar Tree, but I bought the ones with the red on them at Walmart (years ago) 3 for $3. I used to have them in my fridge but you’ll see next week that I have different baskets in there now. 🙂

Then all you need to do is divide the water bottle among the baskets. I have ours categorized, sippy cups, Matt’s water bottles, my water bottles and Malea’s school water bottles/her cups. I also have a little basket in the back that holds random lids to some of her bowls and cups.

Storing them in the baskets keeps them from falling down every time you open/close the drawer. In our other house they sat on a shelf in the cabinet and having them in the baskets made them easier to access because I could pull out the entire basket, not have to reach around to get the water bottle I wanted (knocking the rest over in the process). 🙂

Let’s break it down. So that’s a total of 5 baskets, $1 each = $5 to organize this drawer and keep my water bottles from falling all over the place. This inexpensive organizing tips makes me one happy mama!

I’m curious to hear how you organize your water bottles. Do you have a great tip to keep them from falling down or are you about to get up from the computer and scour your house for baskets so you can go do this to your? 🙂

In drawers can you use drawer organizers like those from Ikea?

We do something similar … it’s the only way to corral those crazy bottles. I wish they were a bit more compact!
