Hi! It’s Wendy here, from Pretty Well Organized! I’m here today to share two easy ways to organize jewelry. Are you a jewelry addict? I know I am! I have always loved jewelry, even as a little girl. Cheep, fancy, costume, sterling…it doesn’t matter, I love it all. Naturally, I am also a part-time Stella & Dot stylist {so I have a LOT of jewels!}. I keep my “personal” jewelry separated from my Stella & Dot jewelry using two easy storage methods. Anyone can use these, promise.
The first way I store my jewelry is in small 3-drawer storage containers I picked up at Target. I have 4 of them for a total of 12 drawers. I have the jewelry sorted by color, but not labeled {gasp!}. I like the freedom to move my jewelry around when I get new pieces without having to change the labels. I am really careful about how I put my jewelry away, so I don’t just toss it in haphazardly.
You can see, this 3 drawer organizer is holding mostly silver or silver-“ish” jewelry. It’s not sorted much further than beyond that. I try to keep the shimmer or finish consistent drawer to drawer, but that’s as complex as it gets! Here is a close up of one of the drawers:
I have 4 of these 3-drawer organizers and they are stacked 2×2 on a shelf in our narrow linen closet. Stacking them 2×2 works well because even full, they are not heavy enough to tip over. The drawers move in and out easily. I hang any earrings over the edge of the drawer and the drawers still open and close easily and without damaging the earrings. Here’s what they looked like stacked:
The second way I store my jewelry is in trays. I lay out my jewelry by color or metal into each tray {I have 10 total} and I use letter bins, yes, like from the office supply section of any store, and use them like drawers. On a day I feel like wearing gold jewelry, I pull out my gold tray and lay it out on my bed and pick what I want out of the tray and simply slide it back into the letter bin. I went with pink, but I’m certain any color would work just fine.
These specific trays are from the Container Store. The trays are part of the Stella & Dot stylist jewelry storage collection {available to stylists only} but I have seen similar trays at both Container Store & Michael’s. There are lots of great jewelry storage options out there, I like the two examples here because the jewelry is easily accessible. Anything I have used in the past, that required me to open something up, unhook something, pull earring backs off, etc… did not work for me. I find the more accessible my jewelry is, the more likely I am to wear it and the cuter I’ll feel and the better my mood is! I’m a simple gal, give me some bling and I’ll sparkle all day!
What ways do you store your jewelry? I’d love to hear your ideas!

The best way I found for earrings (dangly ones that is, or hoops) is to hang a cookie drying rack on the wall. It is an AWESOME way to keep everything easily available, plus it looks cool. To hang necklaces/bracelets, you can pick up some small hooks.

Regarding the pink and white tray system you said: These specific trays are from the Container Store. The trays are part of the Stella & Dot stylist jewelry storage collection {available to stylists only. so do you mean you got the pink stacking system one place and the white trays the other place? I could not find the white trays. I am beginning a jewelry sales and crafting from old jewelry type of business and desperately need some way to organize the dozens of boxes of stuff I have. I like this system but need help finding the components.
