In our new house we have a beautiful view of the mountains, however this is what we were seeing from the inside looking out. Lots and lots of water spots, and probably YEARS of uncleaned windows. (Kind of kills the view doesn’t it?)
It’s pretty bad, and it was really starting to bug me.
But since we are in the middle of Fall Cleaning, I thought this would be the perfect time to show you how to wash windows without chemicals! I used to wash my outside windows with a bucket of soapy water and a squeegee, but since the SteamMachine has a steam attachment for windows I thought I’d give it a try!
Even our cat is sad about the super dirty windows!
Steaming the windows was a very quick and easy way to clean them and it was much easier then lugging around a bucket of water, a rag and a squeegee. We started at the bottom of the window and released the steam as we moved the wand up to the top of the window.
Then as we pulled the squeegee down, toward the bottom of the window, we would steam some more. Some of the windows we didn’t have to steam it both up and down, but on the really dirty windows we had to. The SteamMachine holds a lot of water so we were able to do 19 windows and doors before we had to refill the water tank!
Look at the transformation it made! No products, no chemicals, just steam!
Now we can enjoy the view from our house and not have to look through the “haze” of water spots and years of dirt. Cleaning the windows is not my favorite Fall and Spring cleaning task, but it is definitely one of the most rewarding!

My windows need to be cleaned badly! I would definitely use the attachment for window cleaning. Your windows look so nice!
My favorite is the tool to clean grout!

The steam mop attachment would be fantastic for my laminate floor!
My husband finally paid someone to clean up our backyard (there will be no before pictures shown of that!) yesterday and I was looking out back thinking, “Those windows have GOT to be cleaned!” This seems so easy!
The squeegee attachment for my extra dirty windows
I’d love to get one of these steamers. My outside windows need to be cleaned badly! Love your blog!
I would like the squeegie attachment to clean my windows, among many other things!
Carla S. says
Oh, boy, do I need this!!! We are about to move and will have the same dirty window problem. Thanks for the great giveaway.

I am most excited about SteamMachine Squeegee Attachment used for cleaning shower doors.
I am so impressed with your windows. My windows have been bugging me also! I want the squeegee!
Mop, for sure.
I’d love to steam clean my tile floors. Maybe someday my pale gray grout won’t look charcoal colored.
That makes an incredible difference. I wouldn’t have thought to use a steam cleaner for windows. Wow.
I would love the floor mop attachment!!
Georgia Rafferty says
So cool that they are giving another one!!! We could use it! 🙂
Wow! That just looks so awesome. I have 42 windows in my house, which I love and hate that I love. It’s very hard to keep it clean inside with little ones and cats who visit with the views regularly. I’ve all but given up on the outside. This seems so wonderfully easy to do and it would really make me happy.
Brenda Turner says
I would love to win one of these!
Jennie Busteed says
I am most excited about the grout cleaning tool.
Suzanne Bowie says

Sarah B says
Want to let that SteamMachine Jet Nozzle loose on my very dirty house!
I would love the floor steamer attachment!!!
Paige Gonzalez says
Oh boy, I love how clean your windows are! I’d love to clean mine so easily too. I hope it works well on hard water spots. I have one window that the sprinkler hits and it looks really bad…. Thank you for the cance to win the steamer!
Lisa Dozier says
The squeegie tool for the windows would be great for our sliding glass doors which I have to clean regularly, due to my adorable toddler 🙂
Cindy Bechinski says
I love that you can clean your windows and in only 1 tank fill. I could use this machine in so many places in my house and on my boat too!
Love the power of steam! Sure looks like it makes washing windows easy!
I’m very excited about the Fabric Steamer Attachment. I could really use this for DH’s endless work shirts.
I so need this! The view out my kitchen window looks like yours did before you steamed your windows. I’ll cross my fingers for good luck in winning it. 😉
The jet attachment would be my new best friend !!
All those liitle nooks and crannnies that have ‘gunk’ would be ‘blasted’ along with the rims of sink and tap fixtures.
I would LOVE to win one of these! The floor steam mop or the jet nozzle would be perfect to clean my 95 year old grandma’s tile floor & grout!! I don’t think it has been deep cleaned in at least 7 years…is pretty nasty!!
Thanks for the opportunity!
Do you know if the steam would cause the window seal (inside the double panes) to fail? Would it void the warranty? I would love to clean my windows this way, but would worry the heat from the steam would cause the seal to fail.
I used a steam mop at a clients house and loved it, but it only did floors. I am switching over food and cleaning products in my home to as few ingredients and as unprocessed as possible. Water is about as unprocessed as it gets and only one ingredient! I am also an artist and love to experiment with unusual materials and methods. I wonder what steam could allow me to do with my artwork?
I’m thinking the wallpaper removal steam plate or the floor mop would be my favorite arrachments.
Amy B says
I would love one of these! I still feel like our house is “dirty” after being vacant for almost a year before we bought it. Would love to have our aluminum screens cleaned without losing my knuckle skins!
I missed this the first time around and – wow. I had no idea something like this even existed. I’m so excited about the possibilities. Floor to ceiling windows, grill, oven not wide enough to scrub properly – maybe even stove top! My house has sooo many windows. I could use a magic machine.
Kayte CookWatts says
The squeegee looks fun to use. It would be great for wiping down walls & cupboards.
Anne Haun says

Uh oh. I think my windows might be dirtier than those in this post. I need this!
I need the jet nozzle to get rid of boy smell in my bathrooms.
I love the fact that it includes a steam mop, in addition to all the other attachments. I have a steam mop, but all it does it mop floors. To have one machine to do all of it would be great (especially no-touch-toilet-cleaning-cuz-eww).
I love all the attachments, but I’d probably use the mop attachment most.
I love all the attachments! I think the window one would be amazing to use.
It would have to be the squeegee attachment!
Beth Shurtleff says
Love the hard wood steam clean attachment!
I definitely could have used the steamer last month when I was stripping tiny bits of wallpaper with my fingernails, but I’m now in 4 windows into my fall cleaning-by hand! I would love to do the remaining 16 with the steamer! Also, with two Labs, I’m sure my furniture could use some steamy love!
I would love to win this, the first attachment I would try out is the steam mop for my floors! The window attachment is a close second!! Thank you for the opportunity 🙂

I would love to use the jet nozzle on my entire bathroom. It’s tiny with nooks and crannies everywhere. It is a very old house, and there are a million places that could use some heavy steam action. Thanks!
Marissa A. says
After seeing this window washing post I am sold on the window cleaning attachment. I inherited awful windows the house I moved into. My brother-in-law scraped one with a razor blade to clean it and it took forever. I am curious if the steam cleaner would get it done right.
I’ve never seen that window steaming attachment before and I am wondering where it has been all my life….
brandy norris says
I would love this!! My oven is horrible i am so ashamed i would use the attachment nozzle for that all the time and the mop looks excellent also!!
I hate washing windows, but this steam machine makes it look a lot easier!
I’m a bit of a clean freak so I can’t decide between the grout tool, the steam mop, or the squeegee feature. I think they’d all get equal use!
I am most excited for the attachment that would clean my floors!
Jan Herron says
I have been looking for a better way to clean windows! Great giveaway
Christine T. says
Your windows look great! I would be most interested in the squeegee attachment so I could do the same.

Would love this! Yes my windows need cleaned!
I’m excited to try the plate attachment. We bought a house a little over two years ago and every room has wallpaper that is undesirable. It would be neat to finally take on the project of removing it.

Christine P says
The super hot steamer- would love it for the bathroom!
pam roberts says
I thought the brass nozzle for garage and patio dirt.
I am most excited about the nozzle attachment to get around the toilet in my boys bathroom! The only way to get in the little grooves is a q-tip and that still doesn’t do the job well. I am also pretty excited about the window squeegee attachment! I’m not a fan of cleaning windows but this steamer just might make me one!
The window cleaning attachment looks so cool and the grout cleaning tool would be great too.
Ellen Davis says
