How to Clean Baseboards

Here’s a really quick and easy tip for how to clean baseboards.  Personally I hate getting down on my hands and knees to clean the baseboard so I came up with a lazy way to clean them–lazy but still they are getting cleaned!  So here’s what you do:

Next time you are mopping your floors take your mop and wipe it along the baseboards too!  I know, so simple right!?

Bathrooms especially need this done often because all the dust from tissues, toilet paper, you brushing your hair, etc. really adds up on your baseboards.  I’m telling you this is such an easy solution and it will take you no extra time or effort next time you are mopping your bathroom or kitchen floors!

There’s two ways you can do it.  Option #1.

Option #2.  This is the way I normally do it.

Have fun cleaning your baseboards now that you know how simple it can be!!!

I spray the baseboards with my spray on stream setting, then I scrub with this guy….http://www.casabella.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=C&Product_Code=14358_1&Category_Code=bathThen wipe down with microfiber padded mop, easy peasy. 🙂

Where do u get those tools from? I’m starting to learn how to clean but I have just been diagnosed with cancer. I get tired easily and am looking for natural ways and also good products that can make my cleaning life easier.. It’s an old house.. And it’s so tiring esp not knowing how to do things efficiently and effectively ..

      Mai,

This Monique, Anna’s assistant. I believe you can get both of these products at your local Target. You can find more information about the mop in this great post Anna wrote about cleaning floors without the harsh chemicals (https://askannamoseley.com/2012/04/how-to-clean-wood-floors/)! Hope this helps make cleaning easier for you!

Hi….another great tip for the baseboards is the same tip you posted for cleaning the vents. I sprayed my baseboards with regular canned furniture polish and now the dust wipes right off. Thx for a great site.
