I shared this great tip for how to remove nail polish over at Somewhat Simple last month but it was too good to not share with you too!
I saw this great tidbit in a Real Simple Magazine and I just had to try it out! You may have noticed from all the pictures of my hands that rarely do I paint my finger nails. What’s even worse is that I love having my toe nails painted but then once they are painted I hate taking the polish off. It’s such a pain in the tush that I just let it chip away until it eventually all comes off. I know some of you are dying at the thought of how tacky that is, but seriously it’s a pain to get off nail polish and I don’t have the free time to sit around trying to scrub it off with a cotton ball! {Don’t worry, I’m getting to the tip…}
The tidbit I saw in Real Simple was a trick for getting off glitter nail polish, but I thought, why not try it on regular nail polish and see if it works?
Here’s what you’ll need:
Nail polish remover
Small piece of felt
1. Soak the felt in the nail polish remover.
2. Press the soaked felt piece against each nail for about 20-30 seconds.
3. Using the felt wipe the polish right off!
This seriously works! Here is what my toe nail looked like after a couple minutes of scrubbing it with nail polish remover and a cotton ball. {And I was scrubbing, not wiping!}
After getting really irritated, and remembering why I never paint my toe nails, I got up and grabbed some felt and the page I’d torn out of the magazine.
I’m so glad I tried it because I don’t think I’ll ever go back to using a cotton ball again! Yay!
I was so excited I even painted my finger nails too. 🙂
