It’s day 12 of 15 ways to get organized for less than $15! We are getting close to the end, but there still so much good stuff to come! Today we’re talking about organizing under the bathroom sink for less than $15.
I feel like I can safely say that under the bathroom sink is a place that a lot of us struggle to keep organized. We are in and out of there multiple times a day, grabbing lotion, makeup, face wash, mouth wash, etc. And I’m sure you get frustrated knocking items over each time you reach in to grab something, am I right? That’s why today I’m going to show you my super easy, and affordable way that I keep under my bathroom sink organized.
Let me break it down for you. In the back of the cupboard I used a shelf riser to give me extra space. On top of it I have a basket from the Dollar Tree with all my manicure items – polishes, files, polish remover, etc.
Under that I have a little tin from the $1 bins at Target, that holds all my empty makeup containers from MAC and Lush. I save them and when I take them all in I get free stuff!
The majority of the cupboard is taken up by a clear drawer organizer that I use to organize the rest of my items. Let me break it down for you.
Each row is organized by a category and the front row are the things I use the most often. I do use the denture cleaners daily, to clean my retainer, but I like having them in the back, out of the way. The nice thing about the drawer organizer is that it keeps things from falling over when I reach into grab something.
I bump things all the time when I reach in the back to get something, but nothing ever falls over, which makes me super happy. The organizer also keeps me really organized (good thing, huh?) because I know right where to put something back when I’m done with it. Having everything so organized makes it easy to know when I’m running out of something and it makes it easy for tell my daughter or husband where to find something, if they need it.
The big space on the right is where I keep my makeup bag (which is also very organized and I should right a post about it). It’s easy to get in and out of the cupboard, which gives me no excuse to leave it out on the counter. I dream about having a vanity some day but for now this works well for me.
How do you keep under your bathroom sink organized, or are you constantly knocking things over when you reach in to grab something? I found a few drawer organizers, similar to mine, on Amazon, if you’d like to get under your sink organized – here’s a black one, a silver mesh organizer, and a clear one, like mine, all under $15 and free shipping with Prime! Happy organizing!

This was helpful! I have a lot more space underneath my bathroom sink, but that also means I have more stuff that needs organizing. I will have to invest in drawer organizers and give it a shot!

Awesome! Yeah, sometimes more space is harder to keep organized but I think a few trays and risers should help. 🙂

where did you get your makeup bag?
Anna says
I got it at Target years ago, it’s a Caboodle. 🙂

I use similar types of containers under the wash hand basin in our shower room. And the same method for under the kitchen sink, no more knocking over items as you say, when we reach in for something.
