I have to show you want I did this weekend because I am super proud of it! One of my dear friends is turning 30 this week so Saturday night we all went out to celebrate. We to dinner and then I hosted the “after party” at our house. As my gift to her I made her this fabulous cake.
Let me just tell you that it was de-li-cious!!! Oh my goodness, I though the Chocolate Wasted Cake was good; I know it’s hard to believe but this was even better!!! Let me break it down for you: 3 layers of chocolate cake and dark chocolate buttercream frosting {same as the other cake}, then covered in rich chocolate ganache and topped with cake pops. I’m not really sure if cake can get any better than that. Each bite was like a little piece of chocolate heaven in my mouth. 🙂
And of course every great cake needs to be served with a great cocktail so I served mine with a dark chocolate martini. Let’s just say it was a delicious night!
Oh and… really exciting news… I finally got a new camera!!!
My good friend Bethany just purchased a new fancy shmancy camera so she gave me a screamin’ deal on her “older” Canon XSi. I can’t wait to learn how to use it and take better pictures, that aren’t washed out like the ones above! Yay!
Oh and I’ll let you know when I can figure out how to use it manually so I don’t have to have the flash on! 🙂 What have you’ve been up to this week? I can’t wait to see what you’ve been working on!
