A few weeks ago I shared the progress on our kitchen/living room demo, and today I want to share my kitchen design board, to show you where I’m heading.
This is the part that gets me really excited. I love dreaming about what the kitchen will look like and then seeing it slowly come to life. In my mind I can already see it, and it’s going to be amazing when it’s done!
It’s probably going to be a year or two before it’s perfect, exactly the way I want it, but every little step counts. Doing a kitchen makeover, when you start with a really old kitchen, can really add up! The two costs I’m dreading (which is why they won’t be replaced for awhile) are my new countertops and all new stainless steel appliances. I know we are going to be in this house for a VERY long time so even though it make take a while to save up for what I really want, I think it’s worth waiting for since I’m going to have it forever.
So without further ado, here is my vision for our new kitchen.
What do you think of it?
I can’t wait to see it all come to life, and to share the process with you along the way. The things we are currently working on are getting new floors, built-in seating in the breakfast nook and the beadboard ceiling. I’ll be back with a progress report -hopefully- soon!!!

Wow! What a difference already with the fireplace wall removed! Love the direction you’re going with this space – it’s going to be amazing!

I have quartz counter-tops and I love them. One advantage of quartz over marble is that it is non-porus and won’t stain, natural stone will or can. I do love your design board. Very beautiful and all you have to do is change out your accents for a color change. You could do that as often as you want, with little or no cost!

How do you make your design boards? Do you use Houzz?

Here’s a post I wrote that explains how I make them. They are really easy and fun to make. 🙂 https://askannamoseley.com/2012/09/how-to-create-a-design-board/
