I don’t have a lot of space under my kitchen sink because we have an old house with random pipes sticking out in random places. However despite the lack of space, under the kitchen sink is very organized.
The newest addition to the space are these labels I made with my Silhouette, for the trash can and recycle bin. People are always asking me which one is for the trash and which is for the recycling, so I though the labels would make it easier for guests to know which is which.
Behind the trash cans are where I store the trash bags and dish soap. I love the huge “jug” of all-natural dish soap they sell at Costco, it’s only $7.99 and it lasts me over a year!
To the left of the trash cans is a basket that holds all my essential kitchen cleaning items. This basket is where I store my brushes for washing dishes, rubber gloves, dishwasher detergent, kitchen sink sanitizer and sanitizing wipes. Keeping everything in this basket makes it easily accessible and keeps the items organized.
Behind my basket of essentials is where I store paper and plastic shopping bags. There is a random copper pipe that cuts through the cupboard so I use it to hold my paper bags near the wall and I use a basket, from the Dollar section of Target, to hold all the plastic bags. I only keep enough bags to fill the basket, after that they get tossed because there’s no reason to keep them. If I’m honest with myself there’s no reason I’ll ever need that many plastic bags.
On the door of the cupboard I used a Command hook to hold our scrub brush. This is something we use quite often so I wanted it to be easily accessible.
Here’s what under the kitchen sink looks like when everything is put away. It’s definitely a cramped space but it’s clean and organized and everything I need is easily accessible.

Great organization! I put a small tension rod underneath my sink to hang my dusting rag, gloves, microfiber rag. Then, I have a basket with all my cleaning supplies like yours. I do have a small plastic container that keeps my sponges in them. Thanks for sharing 🙂

I got it at Walmart years and years ago.

I too have discovered how great plastic storage bins are. I use 2 under my sink and I love pulling them out to see what I have. One holds my cleaning items and the other holds food items like, vinegars, oils, the messy bottom bottles. I hung a 3 hanger swing arm on my door and I use it for towels to dry and to clip my rubber gloves so that they can dry open – it works wonderfully well. We have a 5th wheel RV and I use plastic storage bins in most of my storage in the kitchen, keeps things organized , very accessible and items do not move around when the RV is in motion. Note – I love your teal dresser!

I was so delighted with a solution for under my sink that I was wanting to take a photo. We have a tiny kitchen and there’s not much drawer space for storing kitchen towels. I got a Sterilite drawer from their modular system line that’s about 17x14x10 that fits on one side under the sink. Since items can be stacked on top of it it also serves as a shelf to make more out of the vertical space in the cabinet.

I have a super small space under my sink!! My cupboards were built sometime in the early 70’s and built for a single sink so I only have one door/one cupboard under the sink!! Any suggestions on trying to keep that functional?
I use stackable baskets under the sink in our bathroom. You can find some great ones at Target! Also utilize the space on the doors, there are lots of great ideas on Pinterest for how to organize on the back of a cupboard door. 🙂
I wish I could find trash cans that -fit- under my kitchen sink! The cans I find are either tiny like for a bathroom or just slightly larger than the space. Very frustrating!

I got those baskets at Target years ago. The Dollar Tree also has great baskets for organization if you have one in your area. 🙂
