Laundry Room Makeover

This week I am so excited to show you my laundry room makeover!  I’m not quite finished yet, I still have to buy and put in the light fixture, but other than that I’m done.

 Here’s the light fixture I’m going to buy.  It’s from IKEA so I need to plan a trip down to Sacramento to pick it up.

 Here is what the laundry room looked like back in April:

 I painted it last Sunday and then this week I found these baskets to hideorganize all my stuff.

 I also bought this ironing board hanger.  My husband irons every morning so having everything in one location makes it much nicer for him.  The hanger is made to also hang on a door so I reversed the hangers and hung my aprons on one of them!

 I moved my hook closer to the door for our winter coats and summer towels.

 I also cleaned out the cupboards!  I still need to find some cute labels for the baskets but I love how much cleaner they make everything look.

What do you think?  I love it!  I can’t even believe it’s the same laundry room, it’s so much brighter, fresher and cleaner-looking.  {The color is by Valspar, it’s called Pillow Mint.}

    Great job on your laundry room! I really like the organization. I need a little (A LOT) of that to go on at my house;) Seeing the old Coca Cola tray brings back memories for me…my grandparents had the same one in their basement, hanging over their bar.

    Love your new laundry room – your light fixture is going to be so pretty. Love your idea of a vase of flowers in the laundry room – I would never have thought of that.
