It’s that time of year again when we dig out our hats and scarves, and watch the leaves turn gold and fall from the trees. Whether or not you enjoy this season (I do!), fall is the perfect time to fill your home with the glorious smells of pumpkin, ginger, caramel, and hot cranberries. Mmm…
I’ve rounded up 5 of my favorite fall desserts to help you do just that. I hope your sweet tooth is ready!
#1 Pumpkin Pie Croissant French Toast
The first of my favorite fall desserts comes from Andrea of Cooking with a Wallflower. With this recipe, she combines croissants and French toast into one delicious treat – small pieces of croissant baked with pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice and drizzled with maple syrup.
This is French toast like you’ve never had it before – custardy on the inside, buttery and crisp on the outside, with a taste similar to pumpkin pie.
Even better, this fall dessert can double up as a breakfast… if you can handle this much deliciousness first thing in the morning!
#2 Pumpkin Molasses Cupcakes with Caramel Glaze
I found the recipe for the next dessert in a Southern Living Magazine. As someone who loves pumpkin, molasses, and caramel glazes, I couldn’t have been more excited to try this one out. Luckily, this recipe is really simple, so the cupcakes turned out even better than I could have hoped!
These delicious cupcakes are very more-ish, so make sure you bake plenty. Your friends and family will definitely be begging you to make more.
#3 The PERFECT Soft and Chewy Ginger Molasses Cookies
Every year when the warm summer fades and the days start getting shorter, I find myself craving the third of my favorite fall desserts – my ginger molasses cookies.
I found the recipe for these in another cookbook and it’s the best recipe for ginger molasses cookies I’ve come across. They are soft and chewy and they make your home smell incredible. You have to try them!
#4 The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
Who doesn’t love chocolate chip cookies? These ones are from Kristyn at Lil’ Luna. Well, I say that, but the recipe was passed to her via her mom… who got it from a family friend. If a recipe has been recommended and passed on three times, you can bet there’s a reason why!
Try these cookies, let me know what you think, and then pass the recipe on to a friend. Everyone needs to know about these!
I’m not sure I can imagine a more fall-inspired dessert than this apple and cranberry pie from Andrea of Cooking with a Wallflower. With tart apples, hot cranberries, cinnamon, brown sugar, and nutmeg, this one is going to make your house smell incredible!
Enjoy My 5 Favorite Fall Desserts!
I hope you enjoy these fall desserts as much as I do. ? I can’t wait to get in my kitchen and bake these goodies. Although if they’re eaten as quickly as they usually are, there’s a very real risk that I’ll end up spending the whole of the season baking replacements! Enjoy!
