I don’t know what it is about the Minions that gets kids so excited (I’m probably just too old to get it) but all I know is that kids LOVE the Minions! I personally haven’t seen any of the movies but my daughter loves them and is excited about the new movie coming out in a couple weeks.
We had friends over for a summer play date the other day so for a fun treat I decided to have Malea help me make Minion cupcakes and of course the kids loved them!
They were super easy to make, here’s what you’ll need –
- Box of cake mix
- Frosting
- Yellow food coloring
- Marshmallows
- Brown M&Ms
- Black decorating gel
While the cupcakes were baking we sorted out the brown M&M’s from the rest and cut the marshmallow tops off to create the eyes. Once the cupcakes were cool I spread the frosting on and Malea decided where she wanted the eyes
Once the eyes were on I used the black decorating gel to draw faces on each of them. Malea told me what to do for each one and she was very particular. 🙂
When Malea’s friends arrived I set out the cupcakes and these cute Minion napkins from Bounty. I love that the napkins have speech bubbles so I wrote different things on each of the girls’ napkins.
And of course there were tons of crumbs all over the table, bench and floor, when they were done, so I used the Minion Bounty Towels to clean up the mess.
The girls loved the cupcakes and the napkins and paper towels. They thought it was hilarious that there were Minions everywhere. 🙂 So before the movie hits the theaters, get your kids excited with the new Bounty Minions prints that come in paper towels and napkins, making cleaning up messes more fun for everyone!
This post was sponsored by Bounty, and I was compensated, but all opinions are my own.

Our girls love the Minions! Especially our youngest one. And since we already use Bounty paper towels, they kind of already have me sold on buying some Minion paper towels just for our girls reaction. We use them every day to wipe up spills around here and the Minions might encourage them to help!
