Office Makeover Bling

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated you on my office makeover. I’m not done yet but since my post on the built-ins we’ve installed baseboards, sheer drapes and a little bling. I’m assuming y’all know what “bling” is but just in case you don’t, it’s defined as “expensive and flashy jewelry, clothing, or other possessions“.

Well my office bling wasn’t expensive but it adds beauty, it’s the sparkle of the office and what girl doesn’t love a little sparkle? 🙂

After I finished the built-ins I felt like they were missing something, I felt like they needed a little bling. So I went online to my favorite hardware shop – D. Lawless Hardware – and looked for the perfect knobs and pulls.

The rest of the knobs and pulls in our house are silver and crystal but I really wanted something different for my office. When I found these pulls I knew they were perfect! And the best part was they were SO inexpensive, only $0.75 each!!! For the knobs I went with these Lancaster Antique English knobs that were only $1.00! The results are exactly what I wanted and I think they are the perfect bling for my built-ins!

The other thing I knew I wanted to get rid of was the boring ceiling fan.

I never actually used the fan because it worked too well and I was always cold, and since I love sparkle, I figured it was time I replace the fan with a chandelier.

These were the three contestants and after a couple weeks of debating, I chose this one.

I liked it because it seemed the most elegant of the 3 and I loved the little “bubbles” on the shade. I’m SO glad I went with this one because when the lights are on it shimmers on the inside of the drum, I love it!

Every time I walk by my office doors, or I look up while I’m sitting at my desk, my new chandelier makes me smile. The best part is that I paid for it by selling other stuff I didn’t need anymore so it didn’t really cost me anything!

The office makeover is coming along but these two blingy things are probably my favorite. I can’t wait to finish the makeover and share it with you! Only a few more projects to complete. 🙂
