When I think of this time of year one of the things I think of are all the different holidays and fun wreaths for my front door. I love having a wreath on my front door because it makes it feel more friendly and approachable. The only problem with wreaths though are what do you do with them for the rest of the year when they’re not hanging on your front door? I’ve put them in trash bags and laid them on a shelf in the garage, but that takes up a lot of shelf space, I’ve seen the wreath containers they sell around Christmas time, but those things aren’t cheap, and they take up a lot of space, so finally I came up with an even better solution for how to organize wreaths!
The Easiest Way to Organize Wreaths
Materials needed:
At our old house I used the HangerJack to organize my husband’s running gear, but since we’ve moved I hadn’t used it. I was in my storage closet thinking about how unorganized my seasonal wreaths were, when I thought about how the HangerJack would be the perfect solution! It’s 24″ long so figured it would hold lots of wreaths.
After securing it to the wall with drywall anchors and screws, I hung 4 wreaths on it, and still have plenty of room for more! Looks like it might be time to make some more now that I have extra storage space for them!
What’s the best method you’ve found for organizing your wreaths? I’m always looking for new organizing ideas so I’d love to hear your tips! 🙂

I think I would put them in clear plastic bags and make a hole in the bag in the center, that way I could still hang them on the Hanger Jack, but the wreaths wouldnt get so dusty. It’s VERY dusty in AZ, where I live.

That’s a great idea!

This is a great idea! I have question about your wreaths……did you make the two that are visible? I love the feather and wheat(?) ideas. If so, did you by chance record the process? Thanks for your time and idea sharing!

Hi Elle, thank you! I didn’t make the feather wreath, I found that one at Michaels (I think) a couple years ago. I sort of made the straw one though, I found the straw wreath at a consignment store, then I added a bow and some wheat stocks (that I bought at Michaels) to it. It was super easy to make and looks cute but I have to store it outside because at some point moths decided to lay eggs in it and they took over my storage closet! 🙁

HI Anna, …..also child of God. And crazy crafter with lots of wreaths. I have been trying to come up with an idea to store them, and I am not sure what a Hangerjack is or where to buy one.

Awesome! The Hanger Jack is awesome, it’s the only way I’ll organize my wreaths now. 🙂 You can buy them on Amazon, here’s a link – http://amzn.to/29hRRSk (affiliate link).

My husband suspended a pipe between wood holders attached to ceiling joists in attic. I used shower curtain hangers that I snapped on to the pipe then I used pipe cleaners attached to the back of wreaths to hang them from the shower curtain hangers.

Great idea! 🙂

Thanks so much for this pin. I have had wreaths wall to wall in my craft room so I have been looking for a solution. I actually used a swivel rod towel bar and it worked great!
