Hi friends. I’m posting this today because I’m heading to Tennessee for the funeral of my husband’s grandfather. It’s crazy because just a few days ago we were talking about his planned trip to visit us in California on May 18th, and then last Friday afternoon he was admitted to the hospital and died suddenly on Saturday. It’s crazy how sometimes life just happens and things you never thought would happen, happen.
I don’t share too often about my personal life on this blog but I have to say how thankful I am for Matt’s grandfather. He was an incredible man that loved God, raised children that loved God, who then had children and also raised them to love God. Without Matt’s grandparents (his grandma passed away 8 years ago) I would not have the life that I have. I am incredibly grateful for the way they lived their lives, the children they raised, and my husband, that gets to live out the legacy of his family’s name. Without the name “Moseley” I don’t know who I’d be, or where I’d be, but I doubt I’d be here, with all of you.
So having said all of that, I don’t know how often I’ll be here the next couple of weeks. There are a few things scheduled, thanks to my amazing contributors but after being in Tennessee for a week I am going to be behind, and might not have a post for you every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, for the next couple of weeks. Please bear with me as I get caught up and take a couple weeks with the family. I am so thankful for you all, I’m thankful for this blog, for my family and for the life I have because of Matt’s grandpa, the patriarch of our family.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss–I know how special my grandpa was to me and it sure sounds like your husband also had one of the very special ones. What a wonderful legacy he left! May God comfort you and your family in this time of sadness. As Christians, we know we will see our loved ones again but it sure can hurt a lot when they leave us.

Anna I am sending hugs to you and prays for a safe journey. I never did get to know any of my grandparents and you all are so blessed to have such a wonderful and God-loving man in your lives. What great memories you all can talk about when you are together to honor and say good-by to this beloved man.

Legacy is a word that many people don’t consider, but it is so significant. It is such a blessing to be in a family where God is at the center of it all! Sorry for your loss Anna and thank you for sharing this…

You and your family, have my deepest condolences. Being “Papa” was a man of God, rest assure, that he is now resting with the Lord. When my moms pasted away back in 1997, how I managed to deal with her leaving, I said, God had other business for her to do. She was only here, for a time. My mother, was truly a blessing on this earth, as well as “Papa”. I know he is in a good place. Continue to be a blessing.
