I have an awesome closet in our new house that’s perfect for storing paint cans, decorations and more!
The only problem is that I have so many paint cans from projects at this house, and the other house, that my paint storage space is overflowing! I was excited when my friend Ginny, at Organizing Homelife, did a review of a product called Dipsy Dabbers. I immediately thought, “I need a bunch of those to organize my paint closet!”.
I contacted Dipsy Dabber and when I received my order, it was the paint cans vs. Dipsy Dabber to get my storage closet organized. (The paint cans didn’t stand a chance!)
There are a few gallon-sized cans in my paint closet that are still full and waiting to be used on a project, however most of them were less than 1/2 full and just taking up a lot of space. I was actually shocked at how many paint cans I was storing!
To eliminate the paint can clutter I started transferring my paints into the Dipsy Dabbers.
I am very excited about the attached paint brush because it will make doing touch ups so much easier! I’m more likely to actually do touch ups now that it’s going to be so easy!
It’s also very convenient that there is a place for a “sample” swatch on the side of each container. This will make it easy to identify which paints are which without having to read all the labels.
When I was done transferring all the paint cans to the Dipsy Dabber containers, I took them downstairs to re-organize my paint shelves. It was nice carrying all the small containers back downstairs instead of lugging around a bunch of gallon size containers!
It’s unbelievable how little space they take up on the shelf! Not only do I have leftover containers but I have lots of extra space on my shelf!
I also have extra space on some of the other shelves too!
There are so many great things about Dipsy Dabbers, here are a few of my favorites:
- They are stackable so they save lots of shelf space
- They are small but still hold up to 12 oz of paint
- They are airtight so your paint won’t go bad
- They have a built-in paint brush for easy touching up
- They have a label on the side for easy identification of the paint color
Let’s take one last look at the before and afters.
Pretty awesome if I do say so myself! : ) You can pick some up HERE to get your paint cans organized too!

We are all thinking ‘why didn’t I think of that?’ or at least I am! What a clever idea and neat way to store all the leftover paint that’s been taking up so much room. Thanks for the chance to win such a great prize.

What a great idea. I don’t store paint cans in the house, but it would sure make touch ups easier.

Hi Anna, I am wondering how has this product held up over time? Has it kept the paint from drying out? I haven’t found any reviews on any sales websites, so I’m wondering if you can help?

They have held up great over time! It’s a screw top lid, and the attached paint brush also screws in, so the product is air-tight. I love them so much I got some more for our new house. 🙂
