MirrorMate Review

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
Because I love you all so much I have a great giveaway for you today!!!  And let me tell you, I am so excited about this review and giveaway!!!  I don’t know about you but I really hate builder grade anything.  Builder grade flooring, countertops, trim and mirrors, they’re all usually pretty terrible.  My husband and I built our first house so there was nothing “builder grade” about it, but when we moved into town and purchased this older home, most of it was builder grade, including the bathroom mirrors.

 

And then one day I saw the most amazing thing online, MirrorMate Mirror Frames.  Yep.  You read that right, Mirror Frames, that turn your builder grade mirror into something custom and spectacular!

 

There are so many color and style options to choose from with the MirrorMate frames.  I knew that I wanted a white frame for our bathroom, so that helped to narrow it down, but there were still so many great styles to choose from.  I ended up choosing the Acadia Dove White frame because I loved the texture and the style of the frame.

 

When I received my package from MirrorMate I think I actually squealed.  I was so excited to get it put together that I didn’t even wait until my husband got home.  Right away I pulled out all the pieces {which were packaged very nicely} and laid it out in the kitchen to put together.

Someone else was also excited about all the great packaging. 🙂  Oh and yes that is a princess dress over her pjs.  That’s pretty much what she’s always wearing these days.

I got the directions out and got started.  I’m a pretty handy girl but I have to say that the MirrorMate directions were so simple and easy to follow.  I’m always grateful for well written instructions!

 

 

After putting the frame together I had to wait an hour for the glue to dry.  That was probably the hardest part… waiting… so hard!!!

 

Remember my builder grade mirrors?  Yep, I had two and the smaller one had to go.  I didn’t want to have one beautiful, custom framed mirror, and then a tacky builder side mirror.  Like I said, I’m handy but I was not confident enough to take down a mirror so I stuck my husband on that job.

 

 

Once he was finished taking the mirror down he left {to go on a run} and I was too anxious to get the frame up so I didn’t wait for him to get back.  The directions say for the installation it’s best to have 2 people, but I was confident in my ability to hang the frame.  I followed the directions to the T and the installation went perfectly.
