Hello Ask Anna Readers!
I’m Hannah from We Lived Happily Ever After & The Happily Ever After Etsy Shop.
Come by my blog and say hi for some fun & easy sewing projects, crafts, recipes, and everything DIY!
I am so excited to be sharing the following tip with you on Anna’s Website today. I just love all her clever ideas! She is constantly inspiring me!
I wanted to share with you my method for preserving those delicate tank-top straps. I don’t know about you, but mine were always getting twisted completely off from the spin cycle in my washer machine. This really frustrated me because I love my camisoles! I basically live in them. 🙂
After brainstorming, I came up with this method. It works GREAT!
All you have to do is tie it in a double knotted bow.
That’s right! It’s that simple. Your powerful spin cycle won’t tangle them up any more!
The funny thing is that it unties them in the process… but no twisted, ruined tank tops with this method!
Thanks for having me!

Hi Ya’ll,
why not just pop them into a lingerie bag–wouldnt that stop the unravelling of the straps?
Anna says
That’s a good idea too! Where do you buy lingerie bags?
Hannah says
That would work too! But I always lose them, haha. This is a super fast and effective way too though!

I hang my mesh bags on the wall in the laundry room and keep one for my daughter’s delicates pinned to her laundry hamper. No more lost bags!

I use the smaller laundry/lingerie bags. You can buy them at WalMart but I found the ones from the local dollar store to be better quality and offer various sizes.

I have the lingerie bags and using them is such a hassle for me (maybe i’m just lazy but i like to keep things as simple as possible). I can do this as i’m throwing into the laundry pile and then don’t have to worry. My girls are learning to do their own laundry and they wear camisoles under everything so this will be a huge help….thanks!
