  • 1 sprig thyme
Egg wash
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
For serving

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside for now.
  2. Spread out a thawed but cold puff pastry sheet on the counter. Brush melted salted butter all over the puff pastry sheet. Add the cubed brie evenly on the puff pastry sheet. Sprinkle thyme leaves from one sprig all over.
  3. Then on one end, roll the puff pastry sheet with brie tightly to the other side.
  4. Cut the puff pastry roll into 16 pieces.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together an egg with milk until to make the egg wash. Brush the egg wash all over each of the puff pastry swirls. This will help the puff pastries turn a golden brown.
  6. Bake the puff pastry swirls for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the puff pastries to cool for a few minutes.
  8. Top with chopped toasted walnuts and drizzle with honey.
  9. Serve the baked brie puff pastry swirls warm.
