Sparkling Matcha Mimosa
Author: Andrea Giang
Classic mimosas topped with a layer of matcha. This Sparkling Matcha Mimosa is a slight twist to a Sunday brunch favorite.
matcha cold brew
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ½ cup ice
  • ½ cup champagne
  • ½ cup ice
  • 2 tablespoons matcha cold brew
  • lime wedges
  1. Sift matcha powder into a small bowl to prevent clumps. Add a little bit of hot water and whisk until all the matcha has dissolved. Set aside for now.
  2. In a tall glass, pour orange juice first to create the bottom layer. Next, add enough ice so that the ice is above the orange juice. Pour the champagne into the glass so that it hits the ice. This helps with the layered effect.
  3. Add more ice to the glass so that the ice sits above the champagne. Pour the matcha brew into the glass so that it hits the ice. Add more ice if desired.
  4. Serve the sparkling matcha mimosa cold with a lime wedge.
