Caramelized Banana Almond Oatmeal

Cinnamon vanilla almond oatmeal topped with caramelized maple bananas. This caramelized banana almond oatmeal is delicious and perfect for breakfast.
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1¾ cup almond milk, more if consistency too thick
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced
  1. Cook the oats in almond milk according to the directions on the package. Add ground cinnamon and vanilla extract, and a little bit of maple syrup. Stir to incorporate all the ingredients.
  2. In a small skillet, add a little bit of vegetable oil and maple syrup over low heat. Then add sliced bananas. Cook for about 5 minutes until the bananas are caramelized.
  3. Top the oatmeal with the caramelized bananas.
  4. Serve the caramelized banana almond oatmeal warm.
