Welcome to day #2 of 15 ways to get organized for less than $15!
I totally thought I had shared this post with you already but when I was looking for it I couldn’t find it. I realized I’d taken all the pictures but never posted it, oops. 🙂 So today I’m finally going to show you how I organize under the kitchen sink in our new house.
It’s pretty similar to how I did it at our other house but I have more space under this sink because I don’t have our trash cans under the sink (they are under our cooktop).
Let’s talk about the basket on the left. I have all my cleaning supplies stored in there and I have separate mason jars for my “cleaning dishes” scrub brushes and my “cleaning wine glasses” scrub brushes (you can see how I do that HERE).
Next to that is where I store my extra scrub brushes for the dish washing wand. I always have extras on hand because I hate it when it gets food stuck in the sponge! I bought the basket on the left at Big Lots, years ago, and it was only a couple dollars. The Mason jars were from my cupboard so they were free and the small basket, on the right, is from the Dollar Store, they were 2 for $1.
On the other side is where I store my ginormous dish soap jug from Costco and our dishwasher tablets. I like keeping them in an airtight container because it keeps them from turning yellowish. The glass container is from Amazon and it’s $11.99 (and free shipping with Prime!).
Behind all that stuff is where I keep the large jug of hand soap so that we never run out of hand soap (see that tutorial HERE).
I threw a 3M hook on the door to keep my dish gloves hanging and dry, instead of wadded up and I’ve never stored our paper towels under the sink but since we have the extra space I like having them down in the cupboard, instead of on the counter taking up space.
So there you have it. Those are my tips for organizing under the kitchen sink, and if you have baskets lying around your house then it will cost you even less than $15, woo-hoo!!
Come back Wednesday to see how I organize our tupperware/glassware lids. To start from the beginning and see all the posts, click HERE.

Lovely! As for the food stuck in the scrubbers, do you ever throw them in the dishwasher? I wash mine nightly, as well as other scrub brushes
If they’re dirty. Just drop the scrubber in the utensil bin. No smell and no stuck food!

Love your idea for cleaning the scrubbers. My problem is I don’t own a dishwasher.
Have any idea to clean them?

My husband attached one of those black office clips on the back of my cabinet door for my dishwashing gloves. It works better for me than a hook, since I buy the yellow cheapie brand of gloves without the hanger loop.
Thanks for the tips!

That’s a great idea!

Glad I read the comments as I will be utilizing this method for storing my gloves as well!
