How to Decorate a Spring Front Porch with Better Homes and Gardens

Last fall I painted our front door but ever since then it has been covered with seasonal decorations. After I take down the fantastic Christmas decorations and slap a Valentine’s wreath on the front door, I’m always a little depressed by how bare the front porch looks.

This year, with my freshly painted door, I decided the front porch needed to look nice year round, not just during the holidays, so I headed to Walmart to check out the new Better Homes and Gardens outdoor decorations.

I found these little ceramic lanterns, they had all different styles, and colors, but I thought this one was cute because I could put a candle in it, or it could double as a planter. I love the pop of color that these pansies add to the front porch. 🙂

I also bought a rocking chair for the front porch because I spend so much time sitting on the steps watching the kids play out front, that I figured I might as well have a comfy chair, to rock in, instead. I found these cute pillows to add a some more color and comfort. I love to rock, I could seriously sit here all day.

Since I don’t allow shoes to be worn in our house the front porch is often cluttered with shoes but while I was at Walmart I found this BHG basket, which is perfect for everyone to put their shoes in!

I also bought a few pots, planters and flowers to fill up the empty spaces on the porch, I love the bright colors it adds. 🙂

And of course I couldn’t resist these Crossbar Lanterns, they are so pretty and super affordable. They just came out this year and as soon as I saw them, I had to order them!

I’m so happy with how my spring front porch turned out and I’m glad that even though the holidays are over, our front porch can still be warm and welcoming. Doesn’t the rocking chair just say, “come sit and have a cocktail with me!”.
