With St Patrick’s Day and Easter just around the corner, I thought I’d share with you something simple yet inspired by spring.
I mean, in just a few weeks it’ll officially be spring. Can you believe it?
So today, we’ll be talking about an avocado smoothie bowl.
People have been obsessing over acai bowls and smoothies bowls, and I can totally understand why. These smoothie bowls are filled with fruits and topped with more fruits and nuts. They’re just SO delicious, healthy, and fun to eat. So how can you resist?
This is my take on a smoothie bowl.
Have you ever had avocado with condensed milk? No? It’s one of the most amazing and creamiest combinations ever. Really. As strange as it sounds to combine avocado and condensed milk, it’s something I grew up with, and it’s totally decadent because of the velvetiness of the blended avocado. The avocado is thick and smooth, and sooo addictive.
You really need to try it.
Avocados are filling, so after you have this for breakfast, you’ll feel full for awhile, and it’ll definitely give you the energy to get through your day.
It takes very little time to make! And require just a few ingredients.
First, remove the pit and outer skin from the avocado.
Place the avocado in a blender and add the condensed milk. Blend the avocado until it becomes smooth. You can add more condensed milk if you like the smoothie to be sweeter.
Place the avocado smoothie into a bowl and top them with roasted almonds and granola. You can also add fresh fruits or dried fruits.
Serve the avocado smoothie bowl cold. This can be enough for one or two people, depending on how hungry you are. 🙂
- 2 large avocados, pit and skin removed
- 2 ½ tablespoons condensed milk
- Blend the avocado with the condensed milk until the avocado is completely smooth.
- Place the avocado smoothie into a bowl.
- Top the avocado smoothie with almonds and granola.
- Serve the avocado smoothie bowl cold.
