Matcha Green Tea Chocolate Chip Bread |

Moist bread filled with chocolate chips and a hint of matcha green tea. This matcha green tea chocolate chip bread is delicious and perfect for breakfast.
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2½ tablespoons matcha green tea powder
- 1 large egg
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 1½ teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- ⅔ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350F. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray or with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all purpose flour, matcha powder, and baking soda until well incorporated.
- In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk together egg, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined. Pour in buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract, then mix until incorporated.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and mix with a spatula until well combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Add extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
- Bake the bread for about 40-45 minutes. Test the bread for its readiness by inserting a clean toothpick through the center. If the toothpick comes out clean, the bread is done.
- Allow the matcha green tea chocolate chip to cool down for several minutes before slicing.
- Serve the matcha green tea chocolate chip warm or cold.
