Hi Everybody! It’s Krista again. Are you getting ready for summer yet? We have about six weeks left of school and I am nearing panic mode because I’m not nearly as prepared as I wanted to be when I start having three kids at home ALL THE TIME. My kids are good kids, but they are busy boys and take a lot of time and attention. All these projects I had planned to do… well they don’t usually happen with three extra sets of “helping hands”. So, we are starting something now that we will continue to use through the summer.
My kids have chores they are expected to complete because they live in the house and it’s a big job to clean up after five people. I have been busier than anticipated the last few months and my house has quite obviously suffered. My goal over the next six weeks is to get things organized and decluttered and get my house back so we can enjoy this summer. So, I want to get into this routine with the chore charts now so it’s nothing new when all of a sudden the routine shifts. Maybe this will be the constant stability they crave? Ha, I doubt that, but wouldn’t it be nice!?
I have two styles of printable chore charts available for you to download today: A fun rocket ship theme and a pretty princess theme. These are formatted to an 8.5×11″ piece of paper. You can print them right at home and they are high resolution so everything should be nice and crisp. The colors may vary a little, due to monitor and printer settings, but it should be pretty close. Click the images to be taken to the download link. You’ll need to download the file to your computer and then you can print as many as you want from there.
If you want to be able to re-use the charts, you can laminate them and then use a wet or dry erase marker to write on them. My boys think they are hilarious and erase all the things I write in dry or wet erase markers when I’m not looking. Since there’s a reason I write these things down to begin with… I’ve gone back to the traditional pen-and-paper method for now. Oh, ya gotta love them! Until next month…
Check out this great post from Krista for how to get your kids to help clean!
