My Vinyl Direct Review and a Giveaway!

I love creating vinyl projects and since I won my Silhouette last year I have made tons of fun things for my home, and my friends and family.  Unfortunately I’ve found that it’s pretty much impossible to find any local stores that sell vinyl, so I’ve had to look to online venues.

I was planning a girl’s craft night with my friends, and was in need of some vinyl, when My Vinyl Direct contacted me and asked if I wanted to do a giveaway.  Talk about perfect timing!  Of course I said yes, because who wouldn’t say yes to free vinyl, but what I discovered on their site was even more than I thought!  This vinyl site is packed full of color and vinyl goodness!

The prices are very affordable and they have a huge variety of vinyls including: 36 colors of matte vinyl and 28 colors in gloss to choose from, plus they offer dry erasechalkboard, glow in the dark vinyl, and iron on vinyl!  They also have quality transfer paper as well!  With that many choices you can pretty much create anything you’d like!

All of their vinyls come in a variety of sizes too, so no matter what vinyl cutting machine you have, their products are sure to work for you!

When I was given the chance to choose anything from their site I chose the Pick Your Pack option so I could get a variety of colors.

Here are just a few of the creations my friends and I have created with the vinyl from My Vinyl Direct.

You may remember these from my laundry room makeover…

Now the question is, what would you create if you won a $30 credit to My Vinyl Direct!?  With a large variety of colors and styles of vinyl you might have a hard time choosing!  Good luck!

Hi Anna, With a $30 credit I would use it to put our vows on a decorative piece of canvas for our bedroom. My husband and I have almost been married for two year (this Tuesday) and on our wedding day we shared our own vows with each other that we each wrote ourselves, it was so special. Basically since we’ve been married I have put off hanging our vows in our bedroom while I wait and scan pinterest for ideas, and for the money to do it. This would be the best way to do it, and the extra money would help me get it done to look the best way possible. My husband would be so HAPPY and this would be a great surprise for him this year! I’d love to win this giveaway. :)

I think putting the chalk board vinyl on the panels of my doors would look nice and I could left notes or words on them. Either that or dry erase. My door panels are too plain!

I would use the vinyl to make some Christmas decorations – not sure what – but it is the season and now is the time to get busy.

Where would I start??? I love my Silhouette, and would REALLY appreciate some help funding my crafting habit…. I’m low on transfer tape, so I think I’d start there! Thanks for the giveaway!

I would get a couple of the matte vinyl packs like fallin for you and too cool, then either the holiday pack or some blackboard vinyl. thanks for the chance for the giveaway!

Oh my goodness, I love that site! I would have to get a pick your pack, and some chalkboard vinyl. I’m in the middle of doing a craft room makeover, and Michael’s just had their Recollections Photo Boxes on sale 7/$10, so I want to cut out some cute labels out of chalkboard vinyl and get a wet-erase chalkboard pen to label what’s in all of the boxes, then store them in a custom built armoire that my stepdad is going to help me build.

Could you please tell me more about the “always a runner” sign? I LOVE it, and wondered if you might pass the link to the original blog post of who made it so I could see how they did it. I would love to make some of these for my runner friends and myself. :-) It is a great way to organize and save all those runner numbers. I know you appreciate a good organizational idea!

Hi Shauna! My assistant Monique actually made that. All the vinyls I posted are ones that my friends and I created. To create that sign I cut a piece of wood for her and she painted and sanded it. After it was dry I printed out the quote on my Silhouette and she attached it to the board and added the hooks for the race tags. It was really simple. I hope that helps. :)
