How to create an Interest List on Facebook (How to see my posts)

Does it seem like I’ve disappeared off Facebook?  You probably used to see my posts all the time but now you don’t.  The funny thing is that I’ve been posting more on Facebook than every before but less and less people are seeing my posts!  This is Facebook’s way of trying to make us pay to have our followers see our posts.  Well guess what, I’m not going to pay!  With so many forms of free social media I think it’s crazy to make people pay to see status updates.

The good news is that now there’s a way around this!  One of my long-time followers just told me how I can be seen again!  {I love it when I learn things from my reader!}  This post will show you how to create an interest list on Facebook, which will allow you to see all of my posts & never miss another thing!

First, start by heading over to my Facebook Page.  If you haven’t “liked” me then go ahead and like me, if you already “like” me then thank you! {smile}.  Okay, now you’re going to hover over the “Liked” button.

When you hover over it, this drop down menu will show up.  Click on “Add to Interest Lists…”

Next you’ll select “+ New List”.

When it takes you to the next page just click on “Next”.

Then you’ll have to name your “List”.  I called mine “Blogs I follow” so I can add all the Facebook pages of the blogs I love, to one spot and read them all at once.  Once you’ve chosen a name click “Done”.

Now go back to your home page and scroll down.  You’ll notice on the bottom of the left sidebar there’s now an “INTERESTS” tab.  And right under the tab is my new Interest List.  Now anytime one of the Facebook pages I love posts something it will show up in here!

Facebook has done a pretty good job at keeping my readers from seeing what I’m doing, but now if you add me to an Interest List, you’ll never miss another post or another great tip!  See you over on Facebook!

  1. so glad to see this! found it because i follow you on pinterest. never even thought about looking on facebook! thanks for all the great info you provide!

  2. Thanks Anna! Got mine set up. I’ve got a question slightly off topic that I’m hoping you might know the answer to. In your final photo where you show the “interest” category… on my personal blog I have that sidebar but in my blog one I don’t. Is that because of the way I have it set up? Or just doesn’t come with that format. I’m just trying to figure out how I will access my interests when I can’t see it anywhere. Thanks!!!

    • I think you can only set up interest pages for your personal accounts. It’s kind of lame but I’m sure eventually FB will change it. :)

  3. LOVE THIS! thank you SO much for sharing your knowledge, this helps me a lot.

  6. Hi Anna,
I follow you on Facebook through my page (Cozy Condo Living) and not through my personal account so I’m not able to create an interest list. Bummer!

  7. You seem to be a wizard at finding cleaning solutions so…. I’ve got a tough one for you: Any help for removing spray paint off my cement/concrete back porch! It’s is overspray from re-painting old frames. It’s in 2 places, both relatively small (6″x3″ roughly), one black and one white. Concrete is only 6 years old. Any solutions/advice I’ll gladly try. THANK YOU!! :)

  8. Hi Anna!
Stopped by your gorgeous blog this morning after perusing the list of Blogtalk members. Love what you do and so happy to finally meet you! This is a great post too by the way! I’ll be sharing this on my own FB!
