DIY Disinfecting Wipes

How to make disinfectant wipes
Today, I want to share with you a simple and inexpensive way to make your own homemade NATURAL disinfecting wipes that kill 99.9% of germs on the spot and keeps germs away for up to 3 days {unlike comparable chemical based brands that kill germs within about 10 minutes and only last up to 1 day}.

This is what you will need:

I used an empty Basic G wipe container I had, a half way used paper towel roll {make sure you cut off the end of your paper towel roll to make sure they will fit inside your container}, and Basic G concentrate.

Now let me show you the steps on how to put these 3 items together to create your own homemade disinfectant wipes….

Step 1:
Fill empty container with water {about ¼-1/2 of the way full}

Step 2:
Add ¼ tsp of Basic G to water

Step 3:
Remove cardboard insert in paper towels and cut the end of the paper towel roll if needed to make sure it will fit inside your container.

Step 4:
Insert paper towels into container and shake for a few minutes to make sure all paper towels get saturated with Basic G mixture. Add a little more water if needed.

There you have it!! Your own homemade natural disinfectant wipes!

One bottle of BasicG costs $17.30 {member price} and will make 64 gallons of product when mixed with water! So these wipes would cost only PENNIES to make LITERALLY!!! Plus, Basic G is SAFE, biodegradable, and kills 99.9% of household germs without making us sick from the chemicals other cleaners use!

Love my new wipes and I decided to begin making them myself because I use them A LOT! I clean up my bathroom counter every morning with these wipes and they go quickly. Now I can make my own and use them in the car, bathroom, kitchen, cleaning up quick messes, and using them when I am out and about…especially on cart handles at the grocery store!

This is sorta what I do. Instead of paper towels and Basic G, I use cut up rags and vinegar. I wonder if my way kills the germs as well.

Jennifer- that looks great! How do you cut the paper towels? I have all the supplies that you showed here, too – so I’m going to try this :)

    Hi Anna:

I found you via Pinterest. What’s in Basic G? I don’t live in the US and was wondering if I can find a similar sort of product here (instead of shipping half way around the world).

    Cheers,
    Cate

Nice Article!! I would love to make this at home. I’ll definitely try it if I get all the ingredients available in the market. It is very useful and homemade products are really good.

Thanks for sharing your method! I just received my Basic G in the mail after using Basic H for several months and I was wondering if it would be possible to create my own disinfecting wipes and found your blog right away! I just bought the Get Clean Starter kit and have a container of wipes to use up, but will try this when they run out.
