I’m writing this post because I wish there had been a tutorial for this when I was trying to figure out how to attach a document to a blog post. It’s really quite simple, but it wasn’t easy {for me} to figure out, so today I’m going to save you all the hard work!
How to a Document to a Blog Post (Blogging Tips)
March 9, 2012 by 13 Comments
Start by heading over to Acrobat.com.
Create a free account.
Once you have created your account and logged in you will see a page similar to this. Only your page will be empty & not have a bunch of documents in it.
Then in the upper left corner click “upload”.
Find the file you want to attach, select it, then click “Open”.
One it is uploaded the file will show up in Adobe. This black box will also pop up. In order to make the document public {so you can share it on your blog} click on the button that says “Share Document”.
Then this box will show up in the lower left corner. Select “Publish it”.
Then another box will pop up and you’ll need to click on “Publish”.
Once you have “Published” your document this box at the bottom will show up. Select “Copy link”. This automatically copies it to your computer.
After you have “copied” the code you can go back to your blog and insert the code where you need it.
I always test the link to make sure it’s attached and published properly. When you click on it the link it should open up Acrobat and take you to your document.
Now you can attach recipes, printables, checklists, or whatever you want to your blog posts!!! This is one of those blogging tips you won’t want to forget! {smile}

Thanks so much for this post, it was extremely helpful!! =)

Yay! I’m glad I could help! :)
I am so excited I found this post! (Thanks to Leanne Jacobs’ pin.) I’ve always been curious about how to do that without using a third party host like scrib’d that requires sign-up….
Thank you for this simple tutorial, too! Going off to try it out now….

My page in Acrobat didn’t look identical to yours and there’s no button indicating that I can “share” my uploaded document. Do you think they may have changed their settings? Wonder if I need to buy some sort of subscription in order to do what you did back in March…. Let me know if you have any ideas!

You shouldn’t have to buy anything. The page still looks the same to me when I sign in and upload a post. Can you email me screen shots of what you’re seeing? askannamoseley (at) hotmail (dot) com
You have to sign up for the workspace now, not just the acrobot.com. It’s also free, but that’s how I finally got to the page which looks like yours.
